It Started with a Demon
I started writing 12 years ago with an idea of an abused demon named Ginny. I read voraciously, and sometimes I had trouble seeing myself in the heroines of urban fantasy – typically women who were physically strong, magically powerful, and somewhere along the line learned to wield a sword. I used my writing to explore themes of what makes someone evil, what control looks like, and what makes a person strong.
When I published my book, I got good reviews, but I absolutely abhorred marketing, so I let my book sit as a single published book on Amazon while I kept writing. I wrote and rewrote the rest of the series. I started yet another series that I’m in love with, but won’t share until next year. I’m now in the brutal process of editing the Demon Bonds series, criticizing myself, improving my craft, and filling in little side stories in the demon’s world.
I love writing, and I love the production process, collaborating with professionals who are just as passionate about the genre as I am, fine-tuning the message for my audience. I also want to connect with readers, tell them about my world, learn about their likes and dislikes, and connect in a meaningful way that is deeper than 280 characters on a tweet.
I plan to use Substack to share my world and my journey with you. I’ll publish weekly and include little tidbits. Currently planned are scenes in my first book from Gabriel’s point of view, backstories, world-building, and secret diary entries that my heroine burns right after she writes them.

I love the idea! who doesn’t like demons, especially one with such an interesting backstory
That is an excellent story, and I can relate to disliking marketing.
